The Shapeoko CNC router
Carbide 3D has sold the Shapeoko CNC router since Edward Ford parted ways with Inventables in 2014. Its frame is made of unique aluminum extrusions that provide tracks for v-wheels to ride along, pulled by belts. The pro version uses linear rails instead of v-wheels.
It uses handheld trim routers as the cutting tool, typically with an ER11 collet to mount endmills and bits.
